«The legendary Øyslebø Sangsøstre had their first appearance as a group in 1950. Ever since the four ladies have been singing and traveling all over the country, but of course, there has been changes in the lineup: The youngest, Ragnhild, didn’t join the group until 1960. Today the girls are playing more than 50 shows a year singing the same songs they have sung for more than 50 years and yes, when we tried to sum them up - the songs - there’s more than one hundred songs on their repertoire. The girls sing and play the acoustic guitar and sometimes they bring their band. In the fall, 2010, Øyslebø Sangsøstre will record their second album, to be entiteled ‘Bak Stjerners Myriader’.»
