«Kjetil Fredriksen’s third album Too Damn Late is for the most part recorded in Spain and Mexico. The album is set in a cinematic scope with gipsy singers, flamenco clapping & dancing participating in what appear to be real life surroundings - at hotelrooms, bars, public squares and the occasional roadside - fictional, but naturalistic, in a slightly bizarre, haunting view. The mariachi influenses found on his previous album have now evaporated to a point where the trumpets, the contentum sounds and the heartfelt violins rings with a striking necessity to the albums narrative. The album is arranged, recorded, mixed and produced by Per Aasmund Aarnes. The artwork for the cover is drawn by Fredriksen, pencil in hand. Kjetil Fredriksen has previously released both ‘Sweet Romancer’ (2001) and ‘On Every Corner’ (2005) on Big Dipper Records.»
